Hypocrisy (with pens!)

About veganism:
"Veganism is a diet and lifestyle that seeks to exclude the use of animals for food, clothing, or any other purpose. Vegans endeavor not to use or consume animal products of any kind."

"The word "veganism" denotes a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude — as far as is possible and practical — all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of humans, animals and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals"

About hypocrisy:
"It is a common fallacy to accuse someone of being a hypocrite in an attempt to invalidate their argument. This can be known as an ad hominem attack. In other words, just because someone is a hypocrite, that does not make them wrong."

"It is a common fallacy to accuse of hypocrisy people who do not practice what they preach. Such people may indeed be hypocrites, but the proof is not in their failure to practice, since such failure may be failure despite their efforts to succeed. In order to accurately label someone a hypocrite who fails to practice what they preach, one would have to find proof that the preaching itself was not genuine. Failure to make any effort at all to succeed may hint at hypocrisy, but alone it is not sufficient to prove hypocrisy."

  2. I think it's inconsistent, but not necessarily hypocritical. Depends on the meat-eater.
